Official Pre-Summit Event of the AI Impact Summit 2026
As artificial intelligence continues to transform economies and societies around the world, it is more important than ever to ensure that its advantages are accessible to all segments of the population. Hosting targeted events such as the IndiaAI Pre-Summit provides a vital forum to examine how AI can be leveraged to address unique local socio-economic challenges and foster truly inclusive growth. This initiative is designed to promote meaningful collaboration among a diverse group of stakeholders, sparking innovative ideas and actions that utilize technology to improve livelihoods and drive sustainable development.
Agriculture and related sectors are of special significance in this conversation, as they remain the cornerstone of the Indian economy and provide livelihoods for a substantial portion of the population, particularly in rural areas. By directing attention to these fields, AI solutions can make a tangible difference in critical areas such as food security, efficient resource management, and the prosperity of rural communities. Technological advancements in agriculture, fisheries, and allied industries can lead to higher productivity, reduce physical labor, and generate fresh opportunities for sustainable growth and resilience.
To ensure these efforts are impactful, it is essential to elevate the voices of those at the grassroots. Farmers, fishers, and local entrepreneurs bring crucial firsthand expertise about the challenges and realities their communities encounter. Their participation grounds AI based interventions in real-world needs, making solutions both effective and practical. Moreover, actively involving grassroots stakeholders empowers them to become co architects of digital progress, increases the likelihood of technology being embraced, and guarantees that innovation is inclusive rather than imposed from above. By foregrounding these perspectives, this pre-summit event seeks to co-create fair and effective pathways for socio-economic advancement, ensuring that technological progress uplifts those at the heart of society.
In this spirit, we are organizing a participatory workshop at the IndiaAI Pre-Summit, specifically designed to engage attendees as active contributors in shaping the future of AI for local development. The workshop will also feature expert speakers who will introduce participants to the fundamentals and possibilities of AI, ensuring that everyone from farmers and fishers to entrepreneurs and researchers gains valuable insights into how this technology can be harnessed for the greater good while being cognizant of its limitations and dangers.
